Story

Live at the Metropolitan Room in NYC.  A tune written quite by accident while waiting, tune after tune, for a great singer friend of mine to dig through her bags and books to find charts for the pianist on a gig out on LI.  I was playing slab on the gig and this was a bored noodling that tuned into a tune.

Story

This is from a recording session at my place, summer 2015.  Hattie, my cat, attacks the mic cable and Marylène's feet in the process.  Singer friends have found it amazing that the band kept going.  I like that Mary kept going after the attack subsided.

Check out Marylène's web site for more.

Story

A clip from Coffee Z, where Ken and I play bass and violin duo on Saturday afternoons.  This is from my hand recorder warts and all (and extra beat or two at the beginning while I help a customer).  One of my father's students, Yoji sera sitting in on 'stool' with brush and stick.
